Rubbing of an inscription on the end of a traditional Chinese roof tile held at the Bai er chang sheng guan studio of Qing government official, Chinese calligrapher and antiquarian Wu Dacheng (1835-1902), that reads: "Yan nian yi shou". Wu is known to have amassed a collection of over a thousand roof tiles from the Shaanxi and Gansu areas while serving there as an education official.
