Plate on page 237, in: Narrative of a five years' expedition against the revolted Negroes of Surinam, in Guiana, on the wild coast of South America, from the year 1772, to 1777, elucidating the history of that country, and describing its productions, viz. quadrupedes, birds, fishes, reptiles, trees, shrubs, fruits, & roots : with an account of the Indians of Guiana, & Negroes of Guinea.
Plate-mark: 26 cm x 20 cm
"The 81 plates are dated Dec. 1792, Dec. 1793, Dec. 1794, and Dec. 1795, and 41 have no engraver's name. Thirteen are signed "Blake Sculpt."; besides these, GEB & Keynes (1921) are confident that Blake also engraved the plates opposite volume 1, page 237; volume 2, page 104; and volume 2, page 296, which are not signed."--Cf.
