One of 6 titles initially issued in serial form and bound together as volume 9 of the series, The novelist's magazine, with separate title-pages and pagination, and a series title-page.

The plates are from designs by Thomas Stothard, of which the third has been engraved by William Blake. Other engravers are James Walker and Charles Grignion.
