Volume 1 includes 2 plates designed by William Blake.

Includes 10 plates designed by Flaxman, 10 plates designed by Fuseli, 15 plates designed by Hogarth and 9 plates designed by Stothard.

The majority of plates are engraved by Louis Marie Normand. A number of plates are engraved by Reveil or Beyer.
